It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

It's raining today ;-; I'm sure a lot of people here are ecstatic that it's raining after a lot of very warm weather, but I'm so sad I was enjoying the toastiness.

I haven't had the pleasure of enjoying ocean waves before. just lakes and bays and seas. This here is a bay. please enjoy the pretty ok pano.



I do very much love the waves tho. Calm waters today until we went in and there were little waves like the water saying hi. 🥺

It was quite nice that's for sure. thankfully, we know of a little hidden path that takes us between houses and no one ever goes there. been working like a charm for the past 16 years lol. so there were people, but not near us. and I understand. sometimes the waves are vicious! definitely needed the calm yesterday,

Oh no, I mean I wish but gotta be honest, I asked my husband to buy and bring some home. Since I didn't say a specific flavor he got strawberry, vanilla and oreo

It's from a common drinking/ice cream place at the corner called "Michoacana", so I wanted a lemonade and why not some extra Pops? lol

I have officially spent my entire summer mostly sleeping and playing video games...ooops. To be fair, it's way too hot out unless I do something early morning or the evening. I did recently start playing Pokemon Go again and taking walks on cooler days and getting fresh air really is nice.

yes thankfully! and got a little sun kissed too so the skin is appreciative.
came here to say though that these popsicles look so yummy! was gonna ask flavour and scrolled down a bit to see. I have such a hard time eating popsicles like.. I see people bite into them and all I can think about is how much it hurts. the teeth, the brain. oh the teeth, so sensitive. were they delicious??

It is still summery as ever here... and my parents hot water heater burst and flooded our basement. D: We have been working in the heat tearing up the carpet which is damp beyond fixing. Fortunately we got the new tank installed today...

In other weather news, though, as I said it has been hot as ever, but we have had a few weird overcast days. It rained yesterday then ended at 80 degrees in the evening x)

Our freezer is always overrun with random things so I cannot make room to make my own pops (which is what I have been wanting to do, not sure if that is what you did in this picture), but I did recently buy some yogurt tubes from Trader Joes and tossed a few in the freezer They are so good frozen! It takes me back for sure.
