How are the "Nostalgic Styles" (NCUCs) affecting the trading economy?

I've been in the PC, and I can tell you that plushies seem to be trading at around 5-6 DSSS, and royals have now been trading between 5-10 DSSS.

Some of those numbers are from experience.

I'm not up to date on UC USD prices within the last few years, so I'm not sure how they compare. Would love to hear from someone who knows about that area.

It's also worth considering now that UCs are no longer "tradeable" in the original sense that I predict the trading economy will heavily fall off to only people who are seeking BDs and RW/RN pets. I don't know how much of the PC was in it only for the UCs, but I do know dream pets were more often UCs than themed RN/RW.

I can't say I was expecting for people to overoffer for the unreleased tokens at the volume I have seen. I'm happy to be patient and wait for the ones I want to be released but power to those who are happy to trade so many deluxe kits to people who won't need to worry about buying more NC or gambling for what they want in future rounds.

TNT hasn't explicitly said (as far as I know) that they'll cycle out the current colors but when you go to the Styling Studio to choose a pet/style, Umbra Penn says: "I often get tired of painting the same thing over and over again… so you better get one of these styles below while I’m in the mood!" It heavily suggests that they will be cycling out the colors as Umbra gets "tired" of doing it. I don't think that will mean they won't be available again, just that they'll have some kind of rotation.

So it's basically what Fortnite does with skins, artificially creating FOMO. Can't wait to see what happens if a new plot comes out, there's a new pet color using these tokens and they're limited-time.

This is definitely what they plan to do, they said as much in the AMA when they mentioned other types of styles coming out in future. I would expect any future non-fill paintbrushes to be released as new 'styles' instead, much like free clothing items are always much more basic than NC ones. We'll get some more involved art, but at a cost.


I also have no idea how you trade up to high level RW or BD pets now, mainly because neither really have a 'BN' option the way UCs did. I've traded a newly created pretty, short name for a BN UC more than once, but I don't really see that happening with RW/BD.

Hard to know what's going to happen though with the pound still down. All people can trade are tokens.

(If anyone knows cash values RG/RBs and plushies are going for right now please message me I'm so confused).

Just had an irl neofriend message me about how they're planning on quitting now because they don't think they'll be able to get the names they had been working up towards. It's really sad.

Not sure how I feel about the rotation, but if it's anything like the Limited Species Scrolls on Flight Rising I would be very fine with it and actually prefer the smaller pool - since the Gacha is also there, a pool with a big size will basically make the cheap Studio Supplies too much of a gamble imo and will create probably more value gaps between the colors.

As of now, the current buyable ones seem to be trading 1:1, but if we had like, 10 Colors in there, I could imagine the more popular ones becoming higher value even while buyable.
Not sure if I'm making sense here. :'D


So like, if I knew the rough timeframe that I have to expect for the next re-run to be in 3,6,8,12 months I'd be cool with it.
