This is going to turn out so good omg, I'm just imagining the bacon sizzling!

Lmao when its ready everyone comes to the kitchen and gets a piece of bacon while i'm carving. I also put seasoned butter under the skin. Its a good thing we only do this a few times a year.

We finished the "ginger bread" house. You can tell what sides my hubby did and what I did. I am the messy one.

The trees fell over lmao... there was a tornado that whipped through the gingerbread house.

I make it up every year and swap a few ingredients out for similar ones sometimes but this one in particular was:

- x7 bags of choc melts
- mint aero block x2
- mint treat biscuits x1
- x1 bag popping candy
- x6 candy canes crushed up or cut at different lengths, some left to harden together in clusters
- 1x bag mixed marshmellows, all the red and green ones picked out (I would usually also cut normal sized white marshmellows in half, but this was an expensive batch so I didn't include those)
- x2 packets chocolate fingers, cut into 4s
- festive sprinkles for the top to "garnish" lol
- 2 cups coco pops

I think thats it? Haha

oooh I don't know where I can find aero locally in the States but that sounds heavenly!! maybe... maybe this is something I can try out during the post holidays candy sales? 🤣 because FUCK inflation man, ingredients for anything are so expensive now! thank you so much for sharing

Aero is also hard to get here and inflated to all heck.. cadbury do a mint "bubbly" block here, maybe thats an easier option for you? Honestly I just get whichever one is on special because its an expensive dessert to make in bulk.

Oh also! Coco pops, which is a new ingredient this year to see what the texture is like (the same thing you put in rice krispies but chocolate flavour)

ooh thank you for the alternative suggestions! I do really like the texture of crispy/puffed things, so maybe a sprinkling of rice krispies cereal itself (maybe tossed with some peppermint extract + food dye for festiveness? xD) could work as well! cocoa krispies sound sooooo good too 🤩
