Today, I choose not to lurk.

Longtime lurker. First time member.

I signed up because I saw a topic on the Neoboards by TNT staff hardtotame. Is she the new Snarky? Has she provided any actual results or is she all talk like most JS mouths seem to be?

I take long breaks from Neopets and I am recently back from one. I'm trying to get a feel for the status of the site but I don't like interacting on the Neoboards. I think I will get a more honest assessment from members here.

Advice? Opinions?

I have played Neopets off and on for ~15 years. I am middle class and I live in the middle of a state that is in the middle of the country. My family consists of my wife, 2 kids, 2 dogs, a cockatoo, 3 turtles and a large fresh water fish aquarium. We also feed foxes and squirrels.

Today, I choose not to lurk. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

(you need an account to see links) has some good info about the hardtotame boards/updates. You'll get polarising answers about the state of the site, if I'm honest. Events and releases are still happening, but nothing will ever satisfy everyone. The more controversial recent developments have been regarding avatars. The release of multiple stamp avatars had a lot of people very salty, as did the comic-con avatar that was obtained by a code given out irl.

Welcome! If there was ever incentive not to lurk, it's these cute new userbars that were just released I truly believe HTT (hardotame) is here to help us, but I feel like she has already been worn down by the intensity of the userbase and is moving slower than she did at the beginning.

Welcome to the site! Glad to hear that you aren't lurking, for today at least.

The userbars that HellCatPong is referring to are in the Announcements section and are pokemon themed! Not sure if you're into that but I still love them and and hyped about them.

Most of the recent stuff (like HTT's Q&As) are talked about on the Neopets Chat. Looks like Baccus has linked you up there.

Even if you go back to lurking it's still nice to meet you, and I like your picture.
