Baldur's Gate 3 is FINALLY out!!!

Has anyone else been playing it? What class are you playing?

I've been playing as a High Elf Beast Master Ranger and am currently level 4 right now.

I've been playing as a tiefling druid (I had no idea how relevant that combo would be, lol) and as a Dragonborn monk. Gotta say, the monk is more fun so far.

I really wanna try dark urge, but I'm not far into the game enough for it to feel "safe"

i think i had like.. 178hours clocked in before release lol
so needless to say i've been very excited for this game

i'm currently playing a drow ranger c:
not sure what i will play next tho, definitely want to try out the dark urge. and then some friends want to all play together

admittedly i am not as far as i would like bc work and also getting back into neopets LOL

but i got it on launch bc i heard good things, decided to fuck up my stats and play an arcane trickster/archfey warlock multiclass. "its for the rp experience" i say as she continues to fail rolls (i still think rogue should cast off of cha but whatever.)

i'm hoping since it's rly successful they add dlc so i can play as my tabaxi paladin from my campaign i'm currently in.

I wanted to play with my brother but he refunded baldur's gate 2 and said he doesn't like the gameplay style
I've been trying to convince him that it's better graphics and would be more fun with two of us playing together but no luck so far.

I might just have to play it by myself because it looks so fun

I've bought and downloaded BG3, have zero experience with DnD or the franchise in general. But all my friends have racked up insane playing times since it came out, and usually we enjoy the same games, so my hopes and expectations are HIGH.

i honestly think bg3 is a really good gateway to get into dnd 5e if you ever do want to sit at a table virtually or in-person! it honestly lets you either play the game as straightlaced as you want or allows you to do the stupid/creative shit a more forgiving dungeon master might allow you to do (e.g. "i take the three crates out of the bag of holding" "okay" "i stack them" "okay..." "i climb up to have the high ground and shoot from there" "*sighing* fine.")

for example when i play dnd in person my tabaxi paladin is kind of a stick in the mud, typical lawful good pld archetype, so most of her actions are pretty straightforward. meanwhile in bg3 i am killing npcs, looting their shit, and then using revivify to bring them back to life and hoping a high cha- roll can convince them i "rescued" them. it's fun.

Same!! I played a little bit of it and it seems fun! Still getting used to the movement and combat though!

I was attracted by the trailer and the bear obviously and bought it on steam. Not very familiar with dnd setting games but why not xd

This game has been so fun!
My partner and I have a save together and then we each have our own saves apart, but both of mine are Tiefling Rangers
I forget the subclass, but one is red and one is blue? Also they both have the talking to animals thing, that's been my favourite part.

Highly reccomend this game. I also love that I can just run around as my conjured cat and meow at people when my partner takes 20+mins to pick his spells
