Create an hotmail.com account?

you can no longer create them, @(you need an account to see links)
microsoft is moving to where they'll only support outlook e-mails, and even people who currently have hotmail e-mail addresses, will soon be forced to switch them over to outlook, from my understanding

As of yesterday, I just went to outlook to sign up and I had the option to select either "@outlook.com" or "@hotmail.com"

Yeah the option came back for whatever reason. I don't think it will be permanent though, so make your unregs while you can!

But why not just use gmail? It's a bajillion times better, nicer ui, faster, and shmexier. Do you just want it for the @hotmail.com extension? If that's the only reason it still probably isn't worth it xP hotmail was popular 10 years ago instead of today for a reason.

The reason people make hotmail addresses is because of unregistered e-mail accounts on Neopets.
It's a super easy and effective way to get into inactive accounts - once an e-mail associated with a Neopets account is "purged," it's still connected to the Neopets account but doesn't exist and can be created as a new account.

Therefore, if some high-end inactive Neopets account is attached to the e-mail (you need an account to see links), and I make the e-mail address (you need an account to see links), I can access that account through a simple password request.

Nobody's just making hotmail accounts to make them. =P There's a purpose behind it. xD

Yeah, I think most people tend to avoid hotmail for any purpose other than unregs for the exact reasons you mentioned, hahah.
