Which anime do you wish for or not want a new season?

Thought about another one.

One of my favorite anime and manga of all times is Bamboo Blade. It's a fun comedy about a kendo club! It has one anime season with 26 episodes, and it's great! And it closes up the story pretty tightly. But......... the manga continued quite a bit after the anime, even though the story made a pretty big shift. Another detail I want to note is that in one of the volumes the mangaka says they actually worked on a screenplay for another anime season (unrelated to the manga story I guess)! But yeah it never came to be.
I'd be happy to see another season - either original story with the anime characters or even just an adaptation of the rest of the manga.

How have I not seen this anime at all? I don't even recognized the poster when I googled D:
It really looks good though, I love watching anime that's dedicated to a certain sport/hobby!!

I have a soft spot for mystery/detective animes.

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro, Ghost Hunt and Karakurizoushi Ayatsuri Sakon is really good as well if you're into thriller/horror detective show and man I wish they had more seasons

Also omg, Hyouka was so good. I love it so much. Idk how much more can you do with it though. Like the first 2 arcs were amazing but the smaller ones were not as good imo... if they could do more like the festival/book making one, that will be incredible.

Bamboo blade is definitely the next one I'm going to watch! After I'm done with Paripi Koumei ^^

That's true! The side stories are a little bit meh but I guess I just to see if Oreki ended up with Chitanda LOL.

When I watched the show for the first time, the side stories felt so underwhelming and almost ruined my enjoyment of the amazing first arcs. But on a rewatch I did recently I didn't mind them as much. Probably 'cause I knew they were coming, lol.
Anyway I really don't understand how can someone pass on Hyouka. It is so masterfully written and the animation is freaking a m a z i n g. It's a must watch in my book!

Ikr It's really one of the better slice of life/mystery anime, I'm pretty sure I rewatched it like 3 times. But I guess it's just not what a mainstream anime is so...

Oh wow some Digimon talk!! I've been procrastinating that movie Last Evolution, but even if I cry I'll see it coz I'm cruel with myself lol

I watched all first 5 seasons (Savers is 5th right?) and then stopped, I think I missed last or the 2 last ones? Only read some reviews about it, I guess wasn't excited about many digimons merging together tho didn't give them the chance too.

I know I said it before but I do wish for Claymore anime to continue T_T I know how ends but still would like to see it on screen.

Also waiting on Netflix for next season of Sailor Moon Crystal, Sailor Stars Arc

I kind of wish someone would pull a Fruits Basket and completely redo Deadman Wonderland.
I think it really deserves a better adaptation/to be finished because the story was so interesting. I just googled it and I guess it was canceled for straying so far from the manga /eyeing Promised Neverland,/ but maybe someday it’ll get picked back up 😭

The things I would do for Yona of the Dawn to get a second season ;-; or for Saiyuki to get a new adaptation that starts from the beginning. The last Saiyuki adaptation I saw came out a handful of years ago and it pained me how the opening credits and especially the closing credits had images from the very first arc, what a tease xD the anime that covers the OG material is very old and low budget.

Speaking of low budget, Panorama Hearts also deserves a redux and for the whole story to be told start to finish. It's so good and some of the later material would be gorgeous animated. Though the story is so emotionally brutal that I'd have to brace myself to watch it.

I really, really enjoyed SK8 the Infinity last year. It had a good, very tight story that I don't think NEEDS expansion. They've confirmed we're getting "another animation project," but nobody knows if it's a new season, or a movie, or even an OVA.

I kind of hope it's just an OVA! I was so satisfied with how the original story ended that I think any more meaningful expansion would just cheapen it.
