Yup that was it! I had to force update the app through the app store to get it. I guess it was too much to expect the game to have a notice about an update

She did not have an exclamation point for me. But it did show up on me quest sidebar on the top left. Does that show for you? Ornyou can hunt her down on your island and click on her.Yup that was it! I logged in and it did some type of update, but not the one I needed. I had to go in and update it myself.
The quest is legit just talking to them it seems. I did it and about 5 min later I got a mail from TNT saying I got the avatar

My game had a message saying the AC event was over but was not close-able until I updated the game

I updated it manually via app store, got the quest and didn't paint the center back. Avatar received!

Did the quest, hopefully i'll get the avatar soon <3 glad it doesnt count in the collection though, they kept what they did with legends and letters, which means that this app should be retired next month lmao
