It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

ARE YOU MY LONG LOST TWIN BECAUSE I HAVE THE SAME CORE CHILDHOOD MEMORY! I was sick and my mum gave me coconut water to drink because asian mums are wired differently. I ended up violently ill and hurled everything. To this day, anything coconut flavoured puts me off.. except Pina Colada.

jlJSDLFSD LOOOOOOL WE JUST MIGHT BE omg that is crazy though haha they really are!! this incident was 200% my own dumbass fault though xD I still love coconut these days though, except the creamy/milky version much more than the straight water. Pina coladas are absolute fire though!!

Yum those flavours sound amazing!!! I wish we had more variety Banana pie sounds so good!
We mainly get apple, caramel and custard pies here and they're delicious! Better for winter though

I wish we had more variety too! McDonald's doesn't sell pies here and we hardly ever get any new seasonal flavours. Right now, we have a banana caramel mcflurry which is DELISH!

I'm sorry to hear that! Its crazy how different Maccas is in each country! That McFlurry sounds amazing! TBH I miss the old McFlurries when they came in like the sundae containers and were limited to oreo, m&m and crunchie flavours.

Yups! We have "seasonal" burgers too, like ebi burger / salmon burger.

You know what I miss the most about McFlurries? The fact that they used to actually mix it up properly with the soft serve icecream and not just dump a load of everything on top of the icecream like they do these days -_- Does my head in lol


Speaking of McFlurries with amazing flavours, we recently had apple pie McFlurries here. Warm apple pie with caramel topping mixed up with the icecream was pure bliss

Pretty sure they were linked to Macca's birthday or something and only for a really limited time (which sucked). I usually grab an apple pie and a caramel sundae now and mix them together myself (BIG BRAIN MOVE). May cost a bit more, but well worth a treat every now and then

The custard pie ones were also a thing, but one I never bothered trying as I'm not a huge fan of them personally.
