we all know this year sucked for many (most) of us, but i want to get some positivity going as 2021 creeps ever closer. i wanna know anything you are proud of/have accomplished no matter how mundane you think it is.
- finished a book you'd been wanting to read? hell yeah! i love that for you!
- finally got around to deep cleaning your living space? *high five*
- felt good about yourself, even if only for a few minutes? i'm proud of you!
- picked up an exercise regime in all your new down time and got swole as hell? FUCK YEAH!
i'll start. this year i:
- got a great review/raise at work
- finally got matched w/ a little sister through my city's big brothers big sisters program, and i love her so much
- found a good psychiatrist who adjusted my meds and helped me feel better than i have in i can't even remember how long
- lost ~15 pounds w/ diet & exercise
- celebrated 1 year w/ my boyfriend, marking my first adult/serious relationship
- mended my relationship with my sister who had struggles of her own
- played some kickass fanmade pokmon games that i've had more fun playing in years
- discovered a talent for cooking

-Bought a new house!
-Adopted two kittens to save them from high-kill shelters

I finally finally got a job after being laid off in april cos of this bullshit. That's my big accomplishment but I have been working on self reflection and improvement. I started a journal so it will be nice to look back on it later on. There is not much else to report but I am healthy and employed so I can not complain. Proud of anyone who even does the smallest goal they have set for themself

@(you need an account to see links) i'm jealous. i would love to go back to school, but i'm still paying off my undergrad degree. i know how much of a punch in the gut it can be not making the grades you think you should be making, and i was in the exact same boat. switched majors and did much better. it made me feel better about myself too.
what are you studying, if you don't mind me asking?
* Had a year in leadership at my school. It was a maternity fill, but valuable experience to help me gain a more permanent role in the future.
* Lead my school's online/flexible teaching pedagogy. In doing so, I learned that I actually really enjoy this style of teaching myself! Too bad we're a small school and it isn't possible to keep doing.
* Finished my Master of Education degree (with a perfect GPA)
* Sent my novel to as many publishers as I could, knowing it was COVID plus my writing style is not exactly mainstream-friendly (I'm too literary. I won't dumb that down though.). After I didn't hear back from publishers, posted it on Wattpad. I didn't write for money or fame, but I did want to share it with others. This includes binding a printed copy for my Nan who doesn't have the internet!
* Continuing to raise two independent, hard-working, kind children. Eevee saw Santa and all she asked for was something for her brother. She's starts school next year and I'm so excited to see how she thrives with further learning.

- I got a raise and a new position for my workplace while I'm WAH.
- It's not much, but I sit around and play videogames a lot...so I strived to get out and do more this year. Since covid happened, I just went out on daily walks if the weather was nice and met my daily steps goals
I don't have much going on in my life haha but it did make me happy.
