Neopets End of Flash Update with Gutterfoot

Just going to throw this out there as well, if your are worried about flash and how it will affect you - please don't panic and reference (you need an account to see links).

That aside, a little weary about being locked into the beta view. Not really a fan, but hopefully it won't be hard to get used to.
I just hope the actually complete what they are saying they will and stick to their timeline. Its hard to trust the time quotes when we've heard so many conflicting things before. Im hopeful though! Looking forward to see what the future is like for us ^^

About 75% of wearables have been converted from Flash, and they're hoping to be close to 100% by the end of 2020. (Most are converted via an automatic script, but some are troublesome that need to be completely redone from scratch and fixed by hand by artists.)

Oh boy they are going to let those 2 artists redraw wearables? They are definitely going to fuck up a lot of stuff. I fear for my pets' customizations T_T

Neohomes—both Classic and 2.0—will probably be retired, and come back instead as a completely new "Neohomes 3.0" version. All the existing furniture items are hoping to remain usable in whatever the new Neohomes look like.

WELL FUCK YOU. I was afraid this might happen but FUCK FUCK my classic Neohome on which I spent sooooooooo many hours perfecting it. This is such a big FUCK you to players that have been around for ages. It's not even Flash >:((((((( Also LMAO are they really saying they are going to redraw all those furniture items (there are literally thousands) and create a Neohome 3.0 version? Give me a break, for sure they are not going to do that.

a yikes for me for the hidden pages. Neohome isn't a problem to me since i barely use it at all. Still I am at least hopeful this wont be as bad as i think it is.

I'm starting to feel like this might be the start of the end for neopets and I've never had that feeling before. I really hope I'm wrong.

I can't imagine they have the man power, resources and power to ever be able to offer us as much content as the old site did. They're probably banking on a few more years with a broken website to rake in the last premium/NC money and then call it quits. I'm actually convinced of this now. Sorry if I sound too much like a doomsayer but everything that made Neo, Neo will die with the transition and they can never bring it back.

Wonder if it would be better to just foreclose on my classic Neohome then and sell everything while I can. Why bother putting into it anymore if it's going to be inaccessible soon? And I don't trust they'll make everything usable for a third iteration of the home.
I loved my classic Neohome, never cared for the v.2 one.

and I'm displeased about being forced into the new layout when they've made 0 changes for the feedback I gave in regards for RSing and Kadding, such as moving the clock to be visible.
I don't give a shit if my phone displays the time all the time, I play on desktop dammit. I'm not a phone user at all.

Fucking hate the decision to force the beta layout on pages it has been added to. Absofuckinglutely terrible design but ok JS.

Will still remain in this hellhole until the day my pixel children are wiped from the databases, though. Momma may not have birthed most of them into this world, but she sure as hell will go out with them. :pensive: :fist:

My uncle has an app that saves website pages in their entirety. I wonder if I could save my UL and my pet's pages (or my dti outfits) with it so I can still look at them... Going to visit him next week to test it.
