Has anybody tried donating anything yet? I'm waiting on them to drop info in the news before I submit anything. Buying from the general store in the meantime before it closes.

Yes, as I posted above: Was just about to post this!! I tried donating something, and it said that I had to select an option from the drop down list, but the item did disappear from my inventory! This is my first CC so I'm low key excited!!

Yep the button disappeared so they must be testing the system. Wonder if it will release today if they're only testing it now.
