Likely intimidation, fear, trolling.
If your account is secure, I wouldn't worry too much.
What is the point when people want resets for other peoples' accounts?
I don't understand why since it goes to your own email. Any explanation appreciated.

sometimes trolling, sometimes people who totally don't understand how resets work. not on neo, but i've had a few instances of people trying to '''hack''' my accounts on places by sending a password reset email, thinking they'll get access to it that way. wild
I often wonder if its a form of account hacking/cracking.
Maybe its possible to guess the auto generated key at the end
I have no idea, but it's getting pretty damn annoying. Yesterday I logged into one of my account emails and the inbox was full of PW resets. :/ I change my email PWs often just to be extra cautious (that goes for Neo too). lol
I used to get them constantly. I dunno why they do it. It does cause fear in me so it is working
It could be that they tried recreating an old email associated with the account, if your account was part of the data breach in 2013 (?). Then they might be trying to get it sent to an old email of yours they now have, but if you've changed your email since then it goes to that one instead obvs. Or could just be trolling. Either way, as long as your email's safe you're safe!
Use to have it happen to quite a few of my non Neo accounts where folks sent resets, guess they hoping maybe the accounts were inactive or the requests would bounce..
funny thing is, most of the accounts that are now inactive, there is really nothing left on them of value. I often gift my valuable items to friends on there and most times on Neo, I locate folks wanting the colours my pets are and adopt out. If any are left, in the end, I self freeze them. No threat of a purge happening so I can ask for the account and pets returned when ready to play again.
