UC artwork coming back News ~

It's pretty miserable and disappointing news. I kinda hope whatever app this is, is good then...but I am extremely frustrated by the people working on this. I've accepted and tried to work past the generally decreased content of quality over the last few years, in the hope that they would be figuring things out and getting better. But they just end up doing something really awful like this. *How* could they not know what people would think? I had a small suspicion that it might be that they would give all pets/colors an anthro option, and was pretty eager for that too. Then it turns out it's not for the main game at all. Totally meaningless. Now every time people see this in whatever the upcoming game is, they will remember all the stuff they *hoped* it would be instead of this, and feel bitter and disappointed.

Agreed. And Christ, you'd think seeing the overwhelmingly positive reaction users had to the possibility of UCs being available again would have them thinking 'Huh, maybe that's the direction we should go in, because that's what our customers/users seem to want', but nooooo. Couldn't they have made it clear it was for their app or whatever instead of getting everyone's hopes up?

Hahaha, I know that's pretty melodramatic but that is exactly the feeling I am experiencing right now. I keep turning it over in my mind but I don't think there's a word for it.

i wasnt expecting much personally but did hope that maybe they were considering making pets bipedal would be an option??

Welp. I didn't expect much.. it was nice to hope, but I kind of doubted it.

It's kind of a seriously asshole move to do that, though-- to make a super vague poll, asking clearly "which do you prefer?" over a UC and converted pet, and then going out and saying, after all the hype, "no we're not bringing them back". At least make it clear from the start so people don't have their hopes and dreams crushed like that, because as unlikely as it was, hey, we never thought we'd get a fifth pet slot outside of premium (we did)!

Because I'm certain that they know exactly how valuable UCs are, and how much people love them. It'd be them actually listening to the userbase for once. And if they made it an NC-only option, bam, that's a ton of profit for very little effort.

Disappointment for days, but no surprise. Just a bit of spite for them not communicating.
It would've been awful nice to bring them back, cut the PC and all its drama to ribbons, and shake everything up in one fell swoop.

Get it together tnt. I saw a number of people onsite mention that tnt would never reintroduce ucs because they want to "move forward", but so many people play because of nostalgia and frankly, that's running out for me.
