Neopets' New Era: Dominic Law & World of Neopets ⭐

I haven't seen anybody share these yet, so I thought I'd post most of these videos featuring Dominic Law discussing Neopets, including his thoughts on the current state, goals, and the 'World of Neopets' thing. Let me know what you all think. Are these just empty promises, or could this be the resurrection that will keep Neo alive and thriving? I'm definitely excited and hoping for the best.

My take is he is an investor, not an innovator. He likes Neopets. He wants more for it. But if he doesn’t see money out, I worry. I mean that’s business 101 but I don’t see him out there getting Nintendo Switch deals, I see him waiting for them to come in and hoping his investment js right. He does seem nice though esp for an investor

Probably a mixture of both positive changes and empty promises. I hope this does well of course, because if not I see this as very pump & dump situation. Time will tell...there are ebbs and flows with business but he probably knows that. Hoping things stay afloat!

The thing with this is, if it is pump & dump, I feel like Neopets has nowhere to go from here if this fails. Another buyout would be surprising.

I love how he mentioned not having to trade on the black market on the third interview
He acknowledges that due to the current state many are forced offsite to actually enjoy the game.
Good thing is I actually appreciate the community here more than on Neopets!

Considering it's a more personal investment I see more motivation to revitalize the site and make it attracting to bring users back like the whole of the newer neopets team.
I love seeing that they are not only looking to make the site attractive to current members but also hoping to push it towards younger generations.
Personally I think with the right way of going about it they can easily achieve both. Ntm the current user base most often have children that already play or would play if it was more accessible on mobile. I know I'd let my own gremlins have at any neopets related games.

I'm excited about their mention of making it more accessible to the newer generations. I feel like that's one of the site's biggest downfalls atm. It's a site made for children, but it's predominantly played by adults in their 20s-30s who were children when it was first popular. When the adults decide to quit, there's no new influx of younger players to take their place since the site doesn't really have any discovery leading to it. I hope they really start pushing it to younger kids to revitalize the population for their intended demographic. I'd definitely love if my kids took an interest in the site when they got older and were able to play it with their friends, assuming it's still around in a few years.

Honestly, I have a lot of hope for the new management. I think this new guy is pretty good, he seems to have some great ideas! I hope he and the rest of the team can make it happen. So far things have gone really well, I think. They're definitely at least working towards fixing things and bringing in new excitement, I'm hoping we will see more good things to come! (Definitely haven't felt this way ever since JS took over.)
