Thank you! At some point in the last 6/7-ish years I made the switch from spending all my money on polish and just getting them done. WHenever it was that I discovered getting gels done, lol. I know some people do those themselves, but that seems like a pain! And sometimes I miss some of my old polishes, lol.

Why yes I painted my nails a second time within a week ... I kept my thumbs the same, but the others were starting to come off, so I figured I'd change them a bit early in time for Christmas! For some reason I didn't have peace about doing just red/green, perhaps because my thumbs were still blue. I pulled some polishes out, put my hand in front of them, and ended up going with this colorful frosted metals mani! And I'm so glad I went with it!! It was meant to be. ^^

PS: @(you need an account to see links) I really did want to wear my buffalo plaid shirt, and I'm sure I'll wear it soon, but this seemed like the best choice for today. I was hanging out with my best friend from high school after work, and I've worn that other shirt (or another very similar one) the past 4 years for our Christmas get-together. It was time to change things up! Besides, this shirt went better with my mani. It's a very festive, cheery flannel, and it was a joy to wear!

@(you need an account to see links) Of course!! I am a Holo Taco fan. I enjoy watching vids on Youtube now and then (free entertainment) and along the way stumbled into Simply Nailogical (run by a woman named Cristine) who now mostly streams on her second channel, Simply Not Logical. A year or so into my watching her nail art videos, she started her own nail polish brand, aforementioned Holo Taco, which has it's own Youtube page, as well as Instagram, Discord, and FB group! There was one year in school where I painted my nails every week, but it had been some time before I discovered this brand and began painting my nails at least twice a month. They're high quality and really nice - I happily recommend them to anyone who asks.

For my thumb I have Bored Meeting (a creme) underneath Frost Light (you could do more layers of Frost Light for a lighter look, I just wanted to be done sooner since this glitter polish has a thinner base). Then my index finger is Foiled Again, middle finger is Favorite Sister, ring finger is Cheap Champagne, and my pinky is Gift Receipt. The latter 4 are all frosted metals and they all look even better in real life! One coat each is more than enough, but I did a second thin coat just to be sure! + Used Holo Taco's Glossy Taco top coat for maximum shine.

ohh thanks so much for giving me the breakdown!! I am familiar with Simply Nailogical and have always been curious about her products. i'll have to give them a try for sure!
