Got some browser virus from neopets I think :(

alright thanks for your inputs everyone. i agree that the only option left for me is to re-format my drive.

Did you also try spybot S&D?
btw forgot to add, did you run Malwarebytes, etc in safe mode?

Could it be your google profile is corrupted? That happened to me before and so even when I uninstalled and reinstalled chrome the redirect virus would still be there. You could try deleting your profile entirely, uninstalling chrome (and making sure it uninstalls everything, and doesn't save any backup files to your comp) then starting with a fresh profile?

tried spybot in safe mode. it found some threats. fixed them and immunized my browsers. things looking good for now. will post if it returns again like before.
