You can still remove your Ryu to be part of the rescue team.

I'll probably have to read it again, but just to be sure or have a better understanding; in order for Ryu's to recover, do they have to be in the stack in order to be cured?
Hence as to why I felt like I couldn't remove my Ryu. I would like for my Ryu to be cured, but also would like to be on the Rescue Team.

The recovery clock is an absolute time, but the in-game clock has to tick in order to clear status effects. The in-game clock is suspended when your Ryugotchi is put away, which means a tick would have to occur for your visuals to be updated, but the contagiousness period will still be measured from the recovery clock.

The concept was too cute to pass up. I've reverted back the change that I made to stop sick Ryugotchi from sleeping with visitors, and I've added a condition to the in-game clock that has a chance of healing either visitor faster when they're sick.
