Okay.

Story time.

PrettySarcastic has a serious thing for cats. I love cats. They are God/Goddess/The Gods'/The Creator/The Universe's perfect creatures. Accordingly, my favorite petpet is the perfect embodiment of the spirit of a cat, AKA, the Kadoatie.

You may not know this but the kadoatie's signature feature is its pouty face.

They do not smile, unless they are painted particularly cheery colors like faerie, etc.

Well imagine my horror when every... single... kadoatie plushie that has been released... has had its beautiful pouty frown turned upside down.



The universe is finally righting this wrong.

Sort of, in an enamel pin, but it's a start.

Fuck. I'm gonna have to set some money aside for these Rare Item Codes! I'd also love to have others confirm the items in the prize pool.

Oooh these are super cute! I hope they do more petpets/item lines in the future! Just gonna wait until there's photos of the actual merch before buying, but I definitely want some of these.

Also...the “V1” in the title of each listing gives me a little hope that there’ll be more!

I'm still waiting on my patch order from September 4th  while I want some pins, I'm hesitant to actually order anything else

Quick update: I'd reached out to geekify about an update and am super impressed with their customer support??? Really speedy replies, friendly, and open about delays/concerns. Patches might be another ~3 weeks out, but that's cool because quality control is definitely preferred to rushing things

I�m really curious how that website works tho, is the art done by Neopets and just sold through there, or is the art done by others unaffiliated with Neo, but given permission to be officially licensed ?

At the bottom of the page it says “This is officially licensed merchandise from Neopets / Jumpstart Neopets � 1999-2021 All Rights Reserved. Artwork by Aimee Scholz” with a link to her Instagram! I believe she’s the same artist that did the blankets they’re selling as well!

The patches are set to ship at the end of this month- I believe they had to be delayed. I ordered them with the blankets and they were kind enough to separate the blankets from my patches so I didn't have to wait for the blankets to arrive!

Those petpets are pretty cute, I might be persuaded to get one or two. Doing only half the codestones makes me think they'll do the other ones in the future.
