I've always wanted to participate in this, but I'm worried I'm not good enough in the Battledome. I only ever use it to fight Jetsam Ace.

Are there some items people can recommend I equip my pet with? They're pretty buff with stats. I don't want to post specifics, but training at the mystery island takes 7 codestones and 18 hours

You'll be fine if you can beat Jetsam Ace! There's enemies that are level 5 that you can easily beat and still have it count for progress.
