Mutant Vandagyre (YOU NEED TO SEE THIS!)

As boss as some of the redesigns on that art chat thread are, what's the likelihood of the mutant vanda getting turned into one of those? I can't think of a scenario where TNT went back on a design due to public outcry or whatever, but this situation is unique because some many are coming together with possible alternatives?

I wouldn't be surprised if they just kept it as is, though.

Read that due to backlash the transparent peophin was redesigned (not sure if it was a preview that was redesigned or if it was already released)
TNT probably wouldn't take something directly from that board but maybe would help inspire a redo

This actually happened before with the Transparent Peophin! (Which was imo much worse than the Vanda, saying something) Granted, TNT did the redesign, but it has happened!

I remember seeing the peo when it came out and that was when I was really scared the site was going down the shitter.

I had actually forgotten all about this! Good lord what a shitshow, this is definitely worse than the Vanda.

What the heck is THIS.
I FAVORITE mutants are all the gross and ugly one ok (sorry acara and poogle but they should be a new color instead of mutant, and their artworks are awesome anyway), but the art and poses themselves are so BAD here, so as the design elements there, which are just too messy and I can't find a design focal point at all????

Wow... I don't even know how I feel about this. It's flat, out of place, and has a kid cuisine congealed-food-coloring palette, but I sort of appreciate the demented furby-gremlin elements. Most of the art chat redesigns just went for a boring, burly owlbear.

Mainly I'm stunned that the news update seems so PROUD of it, though, especially as the final mutant.
