It's not that easy to find the attacker's point of entry. And it would take actual dev efforts, which Neo doesn't seem to have a lot of.

Obviously it doesn't stop the fact that these people have a shit ton of info, and there are probably more damning consequences to this leak, but wouldn't that at least stop them from getting into active accounts now?

at this point I’m convinced they wouldn’t care either way. No more whales? Site dies faster probably. At the same time I definitely do feel like voting with my wallet is what I personally should and have been doing :/ but I understand that Neo is a safe space for many of us and we do enjoy the monetized aspects.

I don't know if this is stupid to ask, but does this mean that th e hacker also has access to all information that has ever been used before? So like the original e-mail address an account was created on (that differs from the current one attached to that account) or passwords that were used in the past?

I was expecting this to happen again sooner or later, since Neo STILL hasn't updated their site for 2022.
I have an email I only use for Neo, and all unique PWs via a manager that are not at all like the ones I use for other sites.
$95k though, lol.
