Blackmore's Night!! My friend got me into their music, and have been a fan since. I also managed to get my mom to like them (which surprised me because all she listens to is Southside Johnny, the Eagles, and the Rolling Stones.. who are all great, don't get me wrong, but her music taste isn't very diverse). Their music is so unique and beautiful! I got to see them perform live two months ago, and they were AMAZING. Great music, great performance, very entertaining.. overall one of the best concerts I've been to!
I'm also a huge fan of Najoua Belyzel! Been following her for about 12 years now. Lovely music with gorgeous and meaningful lyrics! Sadly I didn't get to ever see her live, but who knows, maybe someday
Veil of Maya! Hands down my favorite band in the progressive metal scene. Their older albums are substantially heavier than their newer stuff, but their newer style is just insanely catchy and easy to get stuck in your head.
