IMO it would be pets/colors/pets+colors that are not easy to obtain (e.g: robot pets, ice, MSPP, ice boris, etc)

I found this post in the jellyneo forums dose this still hold? "Some expensive colors that are way rarer than Faerie and Darigan are Water, Wraith, Eventide, Desert, Stealthy, Maraquan, Zombie. Then there's rare Lab-only colors like Chocolate, Robot, MSP, and Alien.
I personally love Water, Wraith, Eventide and Maraquan the most. I recommend looking at pets of all the colors I listed and seeing if you like any."

They are rarer, but that's different from being more popular. If you're simply looking for rarer colours, yep There's also the consideration of prices (artificially inflated or not, oddly deflated or not) of the corresponding paint brushes for non lab-only colours. Don't forget 8-bit, which is also pretty rare... and again, not necessarily popular.

I was aiming more for the fountain faerie quest line though what would sell for a pretty penny if you know what i mean.

Just sell the FFQ. Unless you have a fantastic name or great BD stats, converted pets aren't worth that much.
