I was wondering, I'm pretty sure 99% of the traders sell lower than this, at least 1$/mill if not lower.
This rate was good years ago, now you just won't sell this high.

I think there definitely should be a floor, but I don't think 2$ is right one. If we do end up making a change perhaps there should be gradual movement down, rather than immediate big change. If there is too big of a change too fast it could easily have more consequences than a slow change.
Edit: Also shouldn't this be in forum suggestions?

This would affect every NP item, but I agreed.
Lots of people sell at $2 a mil without issues, as people also buy at it. If it's a large amount of Neopoints, sure. But if you're just buying a small item, selling at $2 a mil hasn't been an issue.
I don't have any selling items/NP input. I would recommend there always be a standard. On the services side, the concept that prices are unlisted leads to a lot of wasted time quoting prices for people who say they will get back to you and then shop around to someone else who is cheaper or maybe undercuts. Not that big of a deal for an avatar or two, but when they ask for prices on a 20-30 some odd avatar order, you spend the time to price it out/discount it and then never hear from them again and see the iTrader feedback elsewhere, makes you appreciate that a standard exists for NP/items. Also weird that this was not applied to services in the way when people were doing avatars for like 500k NP a piece when charging $1/avatar. A bit off topic, but just the other side of the coin when it's not regulated in any way.

Quoting, and to add...
There is a discount allowed after a certain amount of NP.
For over 10 years I've proposed and enforced this rule. It's been said before, but the limit definitely isn't stopping anyone from getting sales.
In my opinion, this regulation is part of why the Neopets economy is still going strong.
There was no rule back in the GG/DZ days when people first found out how to break into accounts via hash lists. NP was sold as low as 10 cents per mill if I remember correctly... It was killing the market.
Since day 1 we have had the rule, and we've maintained having the biggest and most active trading market for the game.

Do you really think low prices would break the market?
As I said maybe in the old days when there were lots of stock, now with TNT resetting passwords and freezings more and more stock will get locked up.
As I see it if a user sell at 0.10$/mill I'm buying that to resell for a higher price.

I always feel like I have to put up some Economics course to describe why this is in place, and why it's good to set a fixed rate for NP when people try to shoot the idea down. In the end, I just let the forum traffic and activity speak.
This rate goes a long way. Making 1 million isn't that easy for everyone. I don't think anyone wants to get paid 50 cents for days/weeks of their time.
Also, with less stock, wouldn't that mean the price should go up since being limited is in play?
