I'll be getting a couple of some of them! Hope the artists feel granted, these are actually pretty good, thought they were NC at first!

These are awesome... I know they had user-created items YEARS ago (hrobi bear, anyone?), but have they done this since then? If I paid attention and saw the RC would make real in-game items, I 100% would have made a few submissions

Edit: I am sad the "Ipeao" won 2nd place as the stock bullpen background is the best thing I've ever seen

Yes, the previous Random Contest also had user-inspired items. It was about a year ago? The winning ideas were put into an NC mystery capsule, and let's just say the execution didn't do as much justice to the submitted ideas as these ones :p

I'm actually pretty pleased with the item quality (and very impressed at the turn-around time???) - hopefully the people who submitted them are satisfied too. Also very thankful they're NP items; I feel like it would have left a sour taste in my mouth at this point in time if they were gated behind NC.

This was it! Yeah, it sucked. Everyone was only opening them for Closed Eye Contacts by the end... The art was... questionable... I even saw one of the winners publicly declare they wish they had never been chosen, because the real item was way uglier than what they drew. OUCH.
