The United States of America does not have a Federal or Nationally Recognized Official Language. One of very few countries that don't have one. Obviously our national language is English, but the laws she was making up about how Neopets is required under federal law to keep things English only because it's the USA is bull shit.

its also weird she got so mad over it bc theres finnish boards on the fc that get left up for months at a time where everyone speaks finnish and nobody ever says shit about it. there were german ones too at some point but the users all moved elsewhere. boards like this happen all the time. if they want monolingual boards then theyll go to tnt and ask them to reopen the 500 other language boards they closed years ago. no point in getting angry at ppl for wanting to have a conversation in a language theyre comfortable in when tnt doesnt give them an alternative lol.

To be fair, we’re dealing often times with real money and more real people. Not to mention it’s a way smaller site and area, in which the monitors are active. Neo has a much more global appeal, and since they don’t really touch their foreign language anymore it’s kind of do what you gotta do type deal .

Can I also point out how fucking it easy it is to copy and paste shit into a translator... Its not always great but its enough. I've had people send me neomails in other languages and I literally just used a translator to respond, I also let them know I did because haha god knows how well it worked. Got some trades out of it though
