Ft. my first owl beanie baby as a stand in for Piper in real life, and some blue and brown beanie bears that might not quite be Christmasy, but they are Christmas-adjacent! I was thinking I’d have more green ones, but those are all for St. Patrick’s Day.

I’m so glad I kept my collection! I donated some a while back, but kept all my Beanie Bears for sure.

Now to figure out where exactly to put these, or if I just want to go sit with them once I finally have a moment to catch up on some holiday reading! ^^

OMG. I used to collect these! You have a lovely little collection. Which one do you like the most? I love the green reindeer!

How am I supposed to pick just one? The angels are really sweet. I remember getting Clubby IVin a kit as a kid, in maybe a Hallmark or Rite Aid even. I'm also realizing that my love of that blueish-indigo color look goes back to that very Beanie Baby. 💜🩵

The Santa Claus bear in the middle is classic, and the candy cane holding bear is super fun! Huggy, to the left of the candy bear, is also just a really nice shade of light cream? I can't pass up the reindeer, esp the two on the left. The dark green one looks even better in real life, and the holly bear with the hat... and of course the gingerbread lady.

You can see why I have so many!! They're all unique and even if they're put away most of the year, I do still love them.

I wonder if Funko Pop got their business model from Beanie Babies. 👀 Hard plastic instead of soft plush, and cinema characters instead of mostly made up/animal based ones. They even have the plastic containers to store and stack them!

Ooops, the forum swallowed my last post! How am I supposed to pick just one!?? So, I love the angels. Clubby IV is one I got in the collectors bundle at a Hallmark or Rite Aide store, and as I'm looking at it, I think I know where my love of the lavender light blue indigo color combination came from!! 🩵💜

Santa Claus is a must, as is the candy cane bear. And while it's not necessarily a "Christmas" teddy, Huggy, to the left of the candy cane, is just a really lovely set of cream colors. The silver snowflakes bear is really nice, and I can't forget about my reindeer friends - especially the brown ones!!

A shout-out to the green one in the back, too - it looks even better in person. And of course the lady gingerbread one!!

You can see why I collected so many - they're all different and have their own unique attributes!! And they're perfect for festivities and spreading holiday joy around my room. ❤️💚

Aww, thank you so much!!! Beanie Babies lost their charm when they started competing with Webkins, tried to make their own website (the catalogue of all the beanies was really sweet!!) but what did it in for me was when they changed how they designed their eyes. They just weren't true beanie babies after that, and it's been probably 20 years since that change.

I'm really wondering if Funko Pop got their marketing ideas from them. 👀 They're hard plastic instead of soft, and primarily based of film/media franchises instead of animal species (I almost called it TNT, lol, TY does trademarked merchandise, but they're not exclusively for that.) They both can be stored in collectors boxes, and the Funko Pop ones come in theirs! The more I think about it, the more similarities I see!

That's so fun!!! Sadly, mine sit in a bag tucked away most of the time, but I couldn't not bring them out this year, and I'm so glad I did!!

I didn't know Pokemon made plush toys (I was distracted with these Beanies) - how cool!! Do they have them for every character and evolution?

I wonder - have you thought about having a wall hang of sorts, or adding a couple shelves to your wall?

Awww thanks!! Yeah, I did offload some a few years back, but I made sure to keep all my favorites and all the nicest ones. I have another whole bag full - these are just the Christmas ones. I certainly have more than I need, but I do enjoy them!

That's so fun! Do you get them out often? Or display them anywhere? I found it hard to display them on shelves when I was younger, they would always get so dusty and it's hard to tidy them enough.

I unfortunately found out after the fact lol and a lot of them were from all over the world. My Dad was enlisted and would bring them back for me because he knew I enjoyed them : )
