So I've been trying to get internet service at my townhouse for about 2 weeks now, and can't seem to get it done.
I put a deposit down and had service set up through one provider, then they called me a few days later and said that they can't set it up because someone already has an open account at my residence. We've been here since September so I don't understand why the previous Tennant would bother keeping their service open when they don't even live here anymore.
So I'm wondering, if I were to buy or obtain a modem from somewhere, could I plug it in and use the internet? Or would I need to know the previous tenants info like their password or whatever?
I just want to play Xbox live and watch Netflix dammit!

That's what I thought, but from the sound of it, they're still paying their bill. And it's through Charter/Frontier.
Ugh I hate Charter, we have them for Internet at work. They should start you a new service.
Yeah they told me I'd have to have the landlord contact the previous Tennant to have their service disconnected before they could help me. Stupid.
Do you think your landlord will do it? Or do you have a shitty landlord like me haha
