I actually enjoyed buying cards from other sellers.. got more bang for my buck.
I don't think they will no, but honestly, it depends on them and how they handle their decisions for their user base. They're working on the mobile site and if it fails to actually attract new users or keep their old users interested in the site, then all that work was pretty much for nothing...With all the things they're moving over to the mobile site, I do hope they actually integrate events like Daily Dare, Altador Cup, ect. into it to actually keep the site active.

Welp. This might be the last straw for me, TBH. I have canceled my Premium.

You know, this creates an awkward position for third-party sellers, but also potentially Jumpstart.
Depending on how consumer law works in individual countries - seems like there may be some illegality to changing the value of an item you paid cash for.
For example, under consumer law in my country, if someone sold me a 2,000 NC card on December 1st and when I redeemed it on December 10 it didn't produce that value, I would have grounds for a complaint.
From experience dealing with US companies, it seems like consumer rights are basically zero there, but in other places there are protections in place for things like this.
Honestly delving into the whole legality of it will be fruitless because digital currency is still so obscure in law, but I REALLY hope buyers redeem their codes immediately and don't come for sellers later.
Neopets makes me really angry apparently.
A part of me is wondering how this is gonna affect the trading scene in the long term, although it's kind of encouraging to learn that the NCC is pretty outraged about the whole deal
I wonder what the odds are of a decision of this scale to be reversed, likely next to none and wishful thinking on my part but w/e
Pisses me off because I actually liked spending NC and dressing up my stupid animals. I'm one of the clowns that thinks customization was a decent idea but not for those prices lmfao.
I love Neo so much I'm just so tired of seeing them shoot themselves in the foot. How are these guys still standing

I'm so used to only seeing comments I want to like on CK that I keep looking for a like button on the NCC board about how almost everyone is outraged.
I was reminded of the classic "The End" by The Doors by TNTs actions:
This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend
The end of our elaborate plans
The end of ev'rything that stands
The end
No safety or surprise
The end
I'll never look into your eyes again
Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need of
some strangers hand
In a desperate land

Third party cards were the only option to make NC cards even half way worthwhile being Australian. Buying a 2000NC card onsite for $20USD ends up being close to $40AUD (depending on the current exchange) which is just, pathetic. Buying “half price” third party cards basically just meant I would be paying what I should be paying, if I wasn’t forced to exclusively use USD, since nowhere (including neopets itself) sells the localised AU cards lol.
I get conceptually why they’d do this- but god- create your own digital card store— let people buy cards valued in and with their local currency, let people collect their bonus gift boxes for redeeming those digital cards. I just. What.
TNT truly handled this in the worst possible way and I super won’t be buying NC anymore lol

Ugh I just came back to neo like a few months ago and spent so much money via 3rd parties on these NC items.. to find out about this.
Anyone else going to protest by selling their wearables?
I'm just gonna buy NC items instead of trading for them.

TNT could've made NC more accessible/in other currencies on their website, or incentivized people to buy from the website by offering up more boxes + flash sales on NC. It costs them nothing and makes people want to buy more. People will clearly buy NC at the price sellers were offering when the conversion rate of 20 real is ~$3.88 USD. If TNT updated prices on their website to $10/2000 NC they would still be making a large profit compared to selling those cards. It's just greed on their part
