That reminds me. We've had to remove some +rep over the past few days because some users are giving it incorrectly. Please bear in mind that giving +rep to somebody because they won a contest is not appropriate. Giving +rep to the person hosting the contest is okay, but you shouldn't be giving +rep to the people who won. Their reward was winning the contest, not forum accolades.

Jip learned the hard way in the past aswell.
I found beauty contest voting regularly brings in rep sometimes. Then also helping with mystery pic. Making guides, creating art. Going the extra mile on things like post your tree or holiday decor sometimes aswell. Are all those rep worthy? OI think so? And guides or script creating

All of those qualify for a bit of +rep, but the person giving +rep should be mindful of the amount of effort that necessitates the reward. Creative works that enrich the community and foster discussion are generally considered worthy of higher accolades than using automation to cast votes. Then again, if you're casting a lot of votes, that can be an exception. Photo and experience sharing are acceptable as well, but we'd hope to see substantial engagement with those types of discussions in order to qualify. We like to see contributions that drive engagement, and depending on that, rewards can follow.
