I believe they can't/won't unles NPC makes any profit.

Neopets Classic is pretty decent. I don't know about actual profits, but he does have Patreon subscribers.
He seems like a chill dude from what I understand.

At this point, I'd be way more apt to send him money on Patreon than to TNT.

(And him and TNT have about the same amount of working content now that Flash has died.)

yeah I just can't get myself to stay on Neo for anything lately. I run dailies on my main through Stealth Core, hop into my alt accounts to keep them looking alive, and then just leave. The user experience of being on Neo is so miserable right now that I feel so demotivated to do anything.

but hey the NC card nerf couldn't have come at a better time because I definitely do not care about buying stuff from the mall anymore.

They can send cease and desist letters, if they feel the platform is causing loss of revenue on their end, i.e people are choosing to play classic for free and avoid the main site which is monetised (even if it's mostly just cosmetic monetisation). This is the argument behind piracy and DMCA takedowns, profit is hypothetically lost with each download or in this case, classic user. It being closed to signups is probably keeping attention off of it.

I sadly don't think we'll be able to talk about the election on Neopets Infinity with our friends. This already puts it in a worse category than Dunder Mifflin Infinity.

Doesn't matter if you make a profit or not. IP infringement is not allowed. They can be shut down whenever neopets IP owners feel like it.

I know nothing about the law but yea that's what I was thinking.

There's been plenty of "Super Mario 64 Remade in Unreal" projects on Reddit etc. that Nintendo constantly shut down despite them not making any money.

Fingers crossed NP Classic will be viable though.

I do feel for Gutterfoot, working at Neo can't be the most fun experience right now. But yea, those passive aggressive responses weren't exactly reassuring.

Even just something like "we're sorry for the situation and we promise we're working hard to resolve it" would do for me at the moment. Just something other than radio silence.
