    Thoughts on polygamy?

Apparently it was just made legal in Kenya for a man to marry as many women as he wants, without need for consent from his first wife.

Some say it's a good thing though because polygamy was already happening, and this law then recognizes the unions as legal and equal to monogamous marriages.

Men can marry as many women as he wants, but women cannot marry as many men as she wants. So there's a double standard.

    Thoughts?

(Also unclear is where gay marriage stands in Kenya but that's a different discussion.)

against having multiple wives, but FOR having multiple partners.

how is it that men can have a few wives but all those women have to share that man.

ideally for me it would be great but in the end your limiting someone and thats wrong.

Anything that disregards consent is wrong.

I think if the wife is okay with it, then it's perfectly fine. I know people in poly amorous relationships, where they are dating two people, because they legitimately love both of them. But the parties consented to it.

Yeah, if the wife is okay, then I have no problem with it...rather...all the wives. It's not my business, and it's not harming anyone. I don't understand how people are okay with it and not with gay marriage though, it's very strange...humans lack some basic logic.

    Jk

But yeah, Im all for polygamy/polyamorous relationships if all people involved are okay with it. Who would I be to say "no you cant do that, its wrong"? Same with gay marriage or gay relationships... honestly it doesnt affect (effect?) Me personally so I dont give an eighth of a shit what makes someone else happy. You do you, and Ill do me.
