No, the first stage seems completely different from everything else that's going to come from it. I am sure plenty of people bought in thinking it would be royalty or high class type items and are sorely disappointed. It's probably supposed to be entry to something grand, like the beginning of a big event, but it doesn't fit with the gaming and baking themes at all.

If this is based on the GMC and such, then it makes sense -- I thought AAA and Abigail were both basically kids in a rich family or pretty rich as celebrities, so the background might have just been their house.

As far as I could tell, everyone on NCC had seen the stages/spoilers so I feel like they had a pretty good idea of what they were getting.
