It should be instant. Something's wrong then, but I've never had it take longer than a second :/
Post the code(s) you were trying to use? I can see if I can get it to work.
I attempted to use a Bouncy Supreme AoB last night, but CheatEngine was unable to search for the value I needed to change -- it acted as if it were searching, but the progress bar didn't increase at all and it didn't come up with any values on the side. I'm on FF, using CheatEngine 6.3 (the one the CE site had available), and followed all the steps in the AoB guide precisely.
Is it usual for it to take an extremely long time to search, or is something else going on?

I think the codes were out of date or something.
I've been having issues with CE as well.
Which games @(you need an account to see links)?
I can see if there are working codes floating around.
@(you need an account to see links) For sure I've tried doing DMIII, Meepit Juice Break, and Ultimate Bullseye
This thread has codes that work for all of those:

I just tried them.

It wouldn't search for it.
@(you need an account to see links) it's working for me, all the pretty dots
Make sure you have it set to Array of byte under Value Type, BEFORE you copy and paste the code in.
It was definitely set to that, I checked it multiple times after it failed to search. I followed every step in the guide exactly.
I'll reopen the game and try it again to see if it'll search this time.

It'll scan instantly now, but it'll say it came up with no results. :/
