Those waits aren't going to have anything to do with your connectivity, @(you need an account to see links). Unfortunately, the Neopets server can't handle all the captcha validations it needs to do when accepting everyone's scores, so their server sends back an error that our program determines to mean that we need to wait a bit longer before trying again. The more of those errors you encounter consecutively, the longer our program will try to wait them out. This is happening to people playing the games without automation as well. We're all stuck waiting it out until things calm down a bit, but the added wait times in our code are done in hopes that we can save you the trouble of having to start up the score sender manually when things clear up.
I just switch my IP address when I start to see waits, seems to fix it almost every time.

Thank you all for the answers; it was one of those issues where I wasn't sure if it was just me or something else! That clears up a lot !
I'm suddenly getting a Virus & Threat protection popup in my Windows VM that keeps deleting the Score Sender. Pretty sure it's not coming from the SS since it's the same copy I've had since the beginning of this cup...? Is it maybe my VM/should I do a wipe and reinstall?

Do you all see in the bottom right corner of the warning/message something that says "See More"? If so, can you hit that. After, you should get an option that says "Run Anyway" and you should hit that. Or does the warning just say it's not gonna let you run it at all?
What @(you need an account to see links) says! It basically says there's a trojan in it and then deletes the file before/during the re-extraction (or the file that already exists). It just started now and I was using the same copy as I have since the cup started, but just redownloaded now to no avail. I was able to send 1-2 games before this suddenly started and deleted the app!

How do you do this if the antivirus deletes the sender during extraction? Or do you add the ZIP as the exclusion? OK wait how do you add the exclusion? Haha I'm confused. I can only allow the Trojan from Windows Security.

I believe someone had this issue a bunch of pages back. If it's Windows Defender that's deleting the SS, you can disable Defender on your VM ((you need an account to see links)) and then reinstall the SS and extract the files into a folder and it should run.
