Buy from one of the big, well established sellers like @(you need an account to see links) or @(you need an account to see links) and follow ALL of their advice and I'd say you're probably just as "safe" as you would always have been. Don't get impatient or rush anything and use copious amounts of common sense. Good luck buying

I haven't had anybody complain to me about anything for awhileee now.
I mean, there is the occassional person who may take to the boards too soon, but that's the easiest thing to avoid. Buying UCs isn't any more dangerous than it was before, you just have to be vigilant, patient, and use your common sense. I wouldn't think there was a "freezing epidemic" though lol, not at all.

When people buy UCs they need to stop being so excited at their shiny, new toy. ;_;
Like what would you do if you came back from a long hiatus? Check things out for a few minutes day one, don't log in for a few days, come back, play a game or two. Then stay gone for a few more days.
Then change the password and stuff. Slowly use the account more.
