Totally new to clraik, but have played neo for over 20 years. I've been lurking for a little while but I thought it best to join as I'd like to participate if I can!

I'm just a lady in her 30's with a work-from-home gig and a lot of free-browsing time on her hands. I love gardening, rockhounding, and gaming in my free time.

I sincerely appreciate any direction any veteran members would like to provide. I want to build a good reputation and do right by the community. Please help me?

My suggestion for getting a good reputation in the community is to just jump in and participate in events that strike your fancy. There's a lot of fun contests, many non-Neo related and a lot of them creative, year round. Another popular way to get involved with the community is to get a Ryu - the cute little tamagotchi pets among our userbars - by helping take care of others' Ryus and unlocking new backgrounds and paint colors. And of course, if you do make use of the market services here, be a good buyer (discrete, secure pets properly etc).

Welcome to clraik! We are a fun bunch for sure! I personally don’t know much about gardening, but would love to learn. Maybe you can help teach some of us how to develops our green thumbs by creating discussion around gardening tips, or some basic care do’s and don’ts

Keep an eye on the “What’s New” and Announcements section of the forum for what’s happening and any forum events. We run various events throughout the year, of all different kinds!
The best way to “do right by the community” is to just genuinely engage with the community! Contribute to forum discussions, participate in forum contests/events, and just make an effort to get to know others and interact with them!
Remember to abide by the rules and if you ever have a question about anything, don’t be afraid to ask!

I also will second the above mention about Ryugotchis! They’re a little virtual pet built right into your profile once you unlock one. Reminiscent of the 90s/early 2000s craze of Tamagotchis. You can help keep other user’s Ryus alive by caring for them and your own! Head over to the Ryugotchi section of the forum for more. There’s a great guide in there to read to get started
