Sometimes I cant stand the art side of neopets

IDk, it's kinda weird, I rarely upload any art on neo anymore, and whenever I post on like, the PC or anything, I almost always get a neomail asking for an art request (Even though on the top of my page it says I don't do them).
And then I get neomails like:
LOVE The idea you had for your entry... Brilliant!
And I'm all like "yaaaaaaay" but then they reply again with:
LawL! Hope you don't mind but I'm going to HAVE TO Steal that idea for some future pic! It's great!
And then I'm like "nooooooooo"

I just, idk what is with neopets people and feeling so entitled about art :U I've had people try and make friends with me even too just for me to draw for them (back when I said I only did art requests for friends)
Also another thing relating to art that hugely bugs me, is "Seeking art requests" boards, and people asking for app art, then listing it as "gift art" in their app. I'm like uhhhhhhhhh that is NOT a gift :T

IDK, NEOPETS IS JUST THE REASON I DON'T DRAW ART FOR FREE ANYMORE XD

People don't even want it.

Okay well maybe they do but only when I openly offer it. No one's really asking me for any. And god forbid I manage to sell any. xD

But yes I hate the whole "gift art" thing. You don't ask for gifts.

I used to be that way XD I'd practically beg for art requests, and be like "???? y nobody want??? ;u; " But now it's like, nope nope. I barely have time for personal art, let alone me drawing a FAMILY PICTURE OF YOU AND YOUR ENTIRE NEOPETS FAMILY

Yep. I still have two requests to do from a few days ago and I'm just not feeling it. Like, I offered them because I need practice but then the people that asked me to draw didn't have the most exciting designs so I'm kinda putting them off. Neo art is just not a top priority. xD

Ew boring designs are the worst ;u; I love people who actually make their pets look awesome. But idk in the past few years I'd kinda gotten a lil critical of neopets designed after real animals?? Once I saw a mutant acara as a deer? ._.
I used to ask people "So, whats your pet's design?" And they'd just url me to their petlookup and say "That customization :3 " and I just, eruughh

I don't play too much anymore. I just give art to friends, once and a while someone will message me at random and ask for free art but I always say no. I'd prefer to just stick here and give people art who will actually use it and appreciate it.

idk I really like the art on neopets, despite the annoying people, there are a lot of truly talented and kind individuals.

I drew art for random people when I still had a legit main where I could use my art, and I really enjoyed it! They always loved the pictures so much and idk it just made me all warm and fuzzy inside

TBH Don't ever give out art for free unless it's a gift for someone, especially since you make money off it. Plus people need to learn that they can't just beg for art and get it.

BUT PEOPLE WHO REQUEST CUSTOMIZATIONS INSTEAD OF ACTUAL DESIGNS BUG ME.
