As long as your main account looks like a main account, I think you'll be fine!
But be aware that people may ask you about the UC, just play it cool, think of something and stick to it!

As long as the pet is PC safe I see little wrong with placing it directly on your main, assuming your main is UC ready (If you're BCing I imagine you have plenty of customization and care put into your account so you should be fine but always look at it from the outside and make sure it looks feasible)

Yeah step 1: Don't go to the PC. I don't know how but in the past I've gone to the PC and traded with a pet I bought just hours before and nobody said anything about it. Super weird but it worked somehow, but that was dumb luck. Definitely make sure the pet has been on your account for a while, a good back story as to how you got the pet/what you traded for it/etc.

Idk I traded pets I had just bought from here with no problems, but then again I also bought an account from here so no one knew me and I was usually vague about the pets' name, mostly sticking to neo mailing people to offer it. But I also made boards about them sometimes too lmao. But like other users said I would try to buy the pet you want directly to avoid the PC altogether

Just don't post on PC for at least a year plus no more!! If you're a PC nut don't buy UCs unless you're experienced in the manner to handle buying one because you'll always normally get questioned! In saying this you'll likely buy one anyways so ask QUESTIONS! Read GUIDES and don't be stupid to try and wing it! And get advice before replying to these Pc a-holes in neomail because many fuck up there

Don't go there. I bought an uc a few months ago and never posted on pc only on ncc and received two nms from pcers asking about my uc.

The best thing to do would be to keep it on its legitimate account and if you want to trade it, stick to NMing people. Don't NM people you know who are always involved in PC drama, they're more likely to report you.
