To be fair, there are a number of ways to introduce battledome weapons that fit into the valuations and capabilities of current weapons. TNT has just been doing it very poorly, likely due to a lack of knowledge. When they release something that breaks the market and causes a sliding devaluation of pretty much every weapon below WoDF, the BD chat (and TC) are going to bitch about it.

When you upset literally everyone that enjoys a certain kind of content, perhaps you dun goofed.

they also aren't even trying to obtain that knowledge--BD stuff has been backburnered.

something's gotta give or we're going to be doing this 'introduce weapon -> anger -> nerf -> "why does everything stay the same"' thing for another 6 years. the power creep's already started, so it just feels like this is a natural continuation. eventually, if stuff stops being nerfed into the ground after every release, we're gonna have a new generation of standard tier weapons, which opens the gates to new higher-tier weapons, maybe even ones that do enough icons to make 2p interesting with top-tier pets having health in 5 digits.

idk that's my two cents. maybe i'm horribly misinformed or just being too optimistic.
