Can someone please tell me how long does it take to see progress in your ryu's stars?
I have done so much care for both mine and others ryu's over the last couple of days - so much so I have unlocked 16 paints and 14 scenes lol. But my ryu is sitting on the same amount of stars or maybe half a star less. Does it just take a while to update? I am caring for my own ryu too they're not being neglected!

It does take a while. But your own luck increases more the more interactions you have with your own ryu.
Helping other ryus helps too, but in a lesser amount.
Just be patient and have in mind every ryugotchi with evos on takes around 16-20 days to become an egg, so you can make sure your luck is full by that time.
You can also either turn babysitting off (but be careful since no one else would be able to help your ryu, so you'll need to check in on it often).
Or you can tick off Allow evolutions on your profile and tick on again when you have reached 5 stars

Oh thank you! I had in my head it was around 5 days to evolve, I feel like the last time I had a ryu (when they first were released) they evolved really quickly and I was starting to wonder what I was doing wrong for my stars to not be changing. Thank you thank you

@(you need an account to see links) - I didn't find anything about this when I searched the thread, but Firefox has a built-in eyedropper tool located under Browser Tools in the Tools menu and under More Tools in the Firefox toolbar menu. It's great for customising the Ryu bar buttons (and also the Lavalicious userbar) to match one's other userbars without needing to download an add-on or visit another website.
