It would be hard work but not impossible I guess. There's loads of old UC directories and things like that they could have gotten a list of UC pets from and just checked periodically to see if they'd been moved.

Personally I think the fucker's just lying and causing drama...I mean look, they've definitely succeeded if they just wanted to cause a buzz lol.
