Well, considering it's herdy from JN, I'm not at all surprised by what's said, they are very... how to put it mildly... unpleasant person. Not that Adam's reactions are the best, one should be much better prepared to react to all sorts of situation when promoting their product in social media.
I've read all the comments under the JN article on the topic and borovan joined to try and explain himself. Didn't go very well either But he said "omg it's literally nothing to do with bitcoin ethereum nfts scams. we are using crypto as a hosting layer". I have no idea what that means as I don't have any technical knowledge nor crypto knowledge, although I've been planning to explore it since forever, just it seems I never find the time Anyway, anyone has any idea what "a hosting layer" means in this sense?

Yep, I may not like Herdy much as a person since I don't usually agree with what he has to say about ck, but in this instance, I don't see him as the wrong party in my opinion. People have a right to dislike whatever crypto game Adam's going to crash and burn with, and the extent he's taking it by going to the Neocord, Jellyneo, ect. to "explain himself" isn't helping him at all. At this point, he's just looking for a chance to argue with people.

Personally I barely remember Adam and Donna, even as a kid I think I only saw them around grand total of once maybe.
Virtual pet games aren't the same as they were 20 years ago. There's a reason why the site is kinda just shambling on as it is - the model/formula of this kind of game design isn't really that popular and likely won't ever be again.
Even Pokemon has been trying to vary up its formula with the last few games.

That said, I am personally inclined to stay away from crypto-related things where I can since I feel like the inherent grifter-pyramid-scheme mentality and energy it always seems to attract doesn't make for a pleasant game community.
Like as a payment method it's novel and the unrestricted affordance it has is nice, but on the other end of the spectrum because of said affordance it's also used for the sketchiest things imaginable lol.

Bullying and trolling really suck, but man, I just can't see what Adam was aiming for.

If you're proud about your new game, just explain it and ignore the trolls. Maybe throw a trailer or some concept art to hook some people. At least one or two guys will pay attention to you and then, if your game really is that great, you can keep pushing on it. However, I don't believe that game has any potential at all seeing how hard he's trying to push the crypto scene. Like, maybe in 2020 that could have worked or raised some interest, but after the NFT Metaverse BS the site has been through, promoting a new Crypto game is plain stupid.

I agree Adam would have had a much better reception here, or at least some well intended criticism... and yet still think that Dragginz game is doomed before it's even born.

He also doesn't sound like a good person in general to have a conversation with. He probably does have some cool Neopets knowledge to share, but I'd rather he keep it to himself since most convos with him seem to end in arguments.
