We are going to a Christmas tree farm this weekend and I'm pretty stoked. Used to go there with my parents and siblings but haven't been there for YEARS. I'm going back this year with my own family so I'm excited to wander the fields and pick out the perfect tree. My wife is going out of town Saturday night into Sunday night, and I'm having a big football watch party with friends on Sunday, so the tree won't be set up until Monday. Gotta bring all the Christmas stuff upstairs, put the lights on and decorate it up. Just hoping my daughter doesn't get crazy and decide to pull things off the tree haha

Please excuse the 5pixel image but this is actually the first year since... childhood, really, that I got myself a tree. Most major retailers were having a pretty hefty 50% off sale on this pre-lit faux tree and I figured couldn't get much better than this in terms of sustainability/reusability/price and it's still a whopping 6.5'. It'd def look a lot better with ornaments but I'm not sure if I'm ready to commit *that* hard, as Christmas is actually a holiday I actively dislike lol! But I have some leftover fabric hanging around somewhere that I'll make a simple tree skirt out of eventually to make it a little less nakey on the bottom.

Ours is going up tomorrow, the tree is not even a big deal for us, it's everything else around the house!

We had to get our tree on the weekend because they sell out pretty quickly and we definitely wanted a real one. First tree in years, didn't want to go too crazy with the decorations this year but hopefully that will change! The first hurdle was working out how to get our cat to stop eating the tree lmao.
