When a message's sole function is to escape accountability via emotional hijacking (i.e. to essentially trick the reader into overlooking errors, by playing on the reader's feelings and psychological desire to be a good person to others), it is 100% intentional and speaks volumes about the integrity of the author.
No respectable business or company would be so unprofessional by resorting to such disgraceful social maneuvers.
It's definitely written a bit colloquially, but I think that they know their userbase, and know what that userbase doesn't wanna hear (aka some corporate bullshit).

I agree with this. As someone who manages PR and customer relations for a company, this email was almost bizarre to read when I received it, and honestly this seems like a gambit on Overpowered's end to appeal to customers using "full transparency". The email could also probably be summed up in a couple of sentences -- instead a lengthy sob story was given. They must have felt pretty desperate without the support from Jumpstart/Netdragon, whichever company was in charge when they first got the deal.

I honestly thought it was too good to be true until I got to this part.

I just can't. Made me feel like they had no idea who we are.

Well, considering who it is, I'd say respectable company would be giving them way too much credit

But yeah, this more or less sums up what I saw in the message. Not like it's the first time they've pulled this shit either, from what I heard about their last fuckup.

Overpowered's CEO has sent out another email, this time asking for financial support. I didn't agree with everyone's interpretation of the first email, but it looks like I was wrong. I'm not going to buy more of your products when you're already three months behind.

Yeah... I don't know about this. I'll hang on until they ACTUALLY make an Alien Aisha figure.

That second email has reaffirmed my decision to not buy anything until the orders have been fulfilled.

They shouldn't even be thinking of producing new items if they can't keep up with existing orders, especially not with a carrot and stick approach.

Exactly... like this second email has taken away any sympathy I had from the first email. They shouldnt be thinking about more products, they obviously failed with the first set!

Although... an Alien Aisha, or just more popular Aisha colors overall, wouldve done really well I think. Its sad, I had high hopes for Neomerch

Oh jeez, what a mess. I had such high hopes.
