All you hardcore Pokemon players are so dedicated, it's insane. I only ever really put a lot of playtime into Crystal but even though never got too into the weeds about it. I love the franchise but man all of the run types and challenges and breeding and shiny hatching etc. is so much more than my brain can handle. XD

Breeding is honestly super super easy in Sword/Shield compared to each game before it
It's somewhat enjoyable now IMO.

I really loved the shiny chaining in Let's Go, I spent hours trying to get a shiny gastly only to realize they are almost the same color as a normal gastly

When SwSh was confirmed to not have national dex, a community I was part of came up with the idea of trying to disguise our excluded Pokemon to cross the Galar border. It led to many funny edits based on the confirmed Pokemon we knew were getting in over time.

I think the SOS chains in Sun/Moon are my favorite form of shiny grinding. Egg hatching being definitely my least favorite, but where Mimikyu was concerned, I NEEDED it to be in a love ball because I love it and didn't want to risk it breaking free. SOS chaining in general was a blast though; that's how I got a shiny Palossand, Sneasel, and uhhhh one other. The ghost/grass little guy that looks like an autumn tree in his shiny form.
