When people buy nc on site, it has always been known that the buyer does not own the artwork, or pieces they are buying and that at any given time, they can be taken away. Isn't this similar? Instead of purchasing items you don't own, you would instead purchase tokens and use those around the site to further your gaming experience. Am I misunderstanding?

i don't think there's anything wrong with not understanding this stuff; imo the only thing more mind-boggling than NFTs is the fact that other people wanna buy into them. im gonna do my best but if anyone has any other details about it, it would be appreciated

Thank you for taking the time to answer with detail. I grasp it now and I totally understand where the outrage is coming from now. I have spent tens of thousands (hangs head in shame) on nc items. I will not spend anything on nfts. They can take that idea and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Edit: what gets me is "has $8 million in JPEGS" when 1) most artists format in PNG for quality and transparency and 2) I'd be pretty content if this were the case because that means that not only am I a Rich Bitch, but a sizeable sum has gone to artists I love
