I really don't care at all about UCs as a status symbol. I don't care about the names, I don't care about making a pet with a story, I don't care about customization. I just want a RB Zafara because their art is the cutest art I've ever seen on that site imo and I wanted it since I was a little kid. And I'm willing to play TNT if they'll make this option available again.
People will always find other shit to focus on and feel "above others" with, so I really don't worry about it. This should've been a thing from the start imo...

Totally this. I saw a lot of people on the PC saying how TNT should make it a challenge or make it tedious for players to get an UC, or even put trophies to show which is OG and which isn't. All it will do is cause a bigger divide and basically not fix the current issue at hand, I personally feel the point of making them available again is to help how impossible it is to trade for one currently.

I've been wanting a RG Lupe since I started playing, I don't want to have to go through more hurdles just to get one because of people wanting some kind of status symbol with UCs.

Same. I tried to get into customization, but beyond a couple of cross paint options, nothing ever really stuck for me. But the old art just hits me in the warm fuzzies.

I'm a simple Neopian, If I see a background I like, I use it. I'm not that creative to do cross paint customizations or to came up with a unique customization. If it were for me I'll use the Neopets Circle Background in every single customization. Likewise, I like UC art but I'm not ready to take the risk of having one.

I still think making UC's something you can "just get" whenever you want will make UC's themselves less desirable. Though I guess it's better the NC store get that potential cash than pet buyers, at least in the TNT's mind.

I do agree, I think it would really change the whole trading system. They'd go down in value for sure if it is something like a simple purchase of NC. I think they should implement some sort of system where a user is only allowed to have one pet unconverted to limit an overflow or like someone had suggested elsewhere make them untradeable, lutari rules-run away if pounded and you cannot trade for said UC.

It's just to appease the people who already have them and want to still feel a bit special I'm fine with the trophy thing but don't think it would be easy to implement, I doubt there's any sort of tagging or other identification feature that they can call to automate awarding it for existing UCs.

When/If they make UCs creatable, whether it be via NC or a toggle, I wonder if there is any hope of them letting us make UCs that were auto converted, such as pirates, UC royal poogles, UC royal zafaras etc. Imagine the possibilities, I think that could definitely get more active players.

I think making a way to create an UC pet would for sure help drive the player base. Maybe then they'd focus on shit ither than the NC mall
