They seriously need to do away with (preferably) or adjust their "original email" policy if they want to bring back nostalgic old players. So many active players have been fucked over by it, even if they have updated their emails, and it's absolutely ludicrous to expect that people can access, let alone remember, an email that they used to create an account over a decade ago. There are so many completely reasonable reasons why somebody wouldn't be able to have OG email access (defunct providers, purged for inactivity, belonged to a parent who no longer has access, etc), and it makes no sense to have that as a requirement when people have so many other ways of proving ownership. It's like a locksmith expecting you to give them keys to the first place you ever lived in order for them to get you back into the house you live in now.

off topic but I don't believe neo will ever gain enough traction to sustain the site with the younger gen. when I mention neo to my friends I used to play with they all have a similar response about not being able to access their old accounts. starting a new account feels like your coming into a season 5 of a show thats been running for years.its also disheartening for new players when they see the economy is run by a group of users. dealing with inflation irl and on the site is off-putting

I feel like they're in this weird place where they ant old players to return, but with new accounts. Because in their eyes most old unused accounts now are compromised and anyone returning with one has gotten in 'illegally'. It's way too much surveillance over irrelevant things like this old email situation. You can't expect people to have held on to emails from 15 years ago when they were 10, and now are a 25 year old professional.
